A Pocket Sized Sunset
Promote Sleep, Relax Your Muscles, and Sharpen Your Focus
I take my health very seriously.
I get enough sleep, eat the right foods, and exercise consistently. I also support my body’s detoxification, avoid toxins & endocrine disruptors, hit my nutrient requirements, watch the sunrise & sunset, and connect my body with the earth.
It’s a lot.
But sometimes, I’ll get hit with random aches, pains, and weird mood swings.
We’ve all experienced this.
And I’ve found something that fixes it entirely.
It relaxes my muscles, improves my sleep, and even sharpens my focus.
What am I talking about?
Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy has profound effects on the body.
But in order to understand red light, we need to talk about the sun.
The full spectrum of sunlight includes…
UV Light (UVA, UVB, UVC): Vital for vitamin D production, but also causes skin damage and increases the risk of skin cancer.
Infrared Light (Near, Mid, Far): This is primarily felt as heat and penetrates deeply into tissues. It aids in healing, relaxation, and detoxification.
Visible Light (Violet to Red): Different colors have different effects. This spans from regulating sleep (blue light) to promoting healing (red light).
Red light therapy is simply red light and near infrared light.
It’s as if you isolated the healing & protective properties of sunlight.
And the things I described above (relaxed muscles, better sleep, and shaper focus) are actually backed by science…
Infrared light boosts blood flow and circulation by increasing nitric oxide production. This relaxes muscles, alleviates pain, and reduces inflammation.
Red light therapy boosts melatonin—a hormone that regulates your sleep-wake cycles. I find it a lot easier to fall asleep after using my red light therapy device.
Red and infrared light penetrate your skin to reach the mitochondria—the powerhouse of your cells. It helps with adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production, which is essential for cellular energy and repair.
Red light reduces oxidative stress and inflammation. This is why I notice fewer headaches and pains when using the device regularly.
And as we approach the fall, this becomes increasingly important.
You need a red light therapy device if you’re not getting enough sunlight.
And the truth is… you’re probably not.
Which is why I partnered with Bon Charge.
Bon Charge offers a wide range of red light devices—from handheld to full-body.
They’re extremely high quality, very powerful, and easy to use.
I personally love their Mini Red Light Therapy Device.
It’s the size of my hand, so I can bring it wherever I want.
