The Dark Secret Behind Genetic Testing Companies

How companies like Ancestry and 23andMe trick you to doing business with them

Nearly every genetic testing company sells their customers’ data to Big Pharma.

This includes Ancestry, 23andMe, and even smaller “health optimization” companies.

The reason why is that the genetic testing business model is not profitable.

Every business wants a product they can sell repeatedly (think Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Google).

Unfortunately you cannot do this with genetic testing, since your DNA never changes and you only need to test it once.

So when thinking of how they can make more money, these companies realized a massive opportunity:

They could sell people’s data to pharmaceutical companies.

The data they receive from genetic tests is incredibly valuable. It’s typically sold for $5,000-20,000 to data buyers… which is much better than the one-time $400 they charge consumers.

They also realized they could sell saliva samples they receive from consumers and give them to pharmaceutical companies to conduct research on.

Soon enough this industry shifted from a DNA testing industry to a data selling industry.

With these companies, you are not the customer.

The real customer is Big Pharma, who’s paying them thousands of dollars for data and saliva samples.

This is why you hear people saying the tests aren’t good—since they’re not the customer, the product is not designed for them.

These companies are not trying to help you. They’re trying to trick you so they can make a bunch of money with pharmaceutical companies.

When I started my own DNA testing company, I realized that I had to make a decision not to become a data seller.

So I designed the tests so that it’s impossible to sell anyone’s data.

This is so clear that data buyers from across the world have stopped approaching my company since they know we are not going to give them our customer’s data.

We also destroy saliva samples after we test people’s genes and completely anonymize our data.

This means that we have our customer’s data, but cannot see who it belongs to. All we can see is a barcode and the only person who can see the name is the customer.

For this reason, our DNA tests are the absolute best on the market and have changed thousands of people’s lives.

Our tests are designed for you, not data buyers, and are designed to give you as many valuable insights into their health as possible.

If you’d like to get your DNA tested from a source that isn’t selling your information, plus the same coaching that countless athletes, biohackers, and high-performers have received (for 1/10th of the price)…
