The Root Cause of Hair Loss

You’re losing your hair.

You see it on your hands when you use shampoo, on your pillows, and in your food when you’re eating.

You’re filled with stress, fear, and insecurity, constantly wondering if others will notice.

You think…

How much longer until it gets really bad? Is it permanent? What am I doing wrong?

You’ve browsed online forums (scaring yourself in the process), you’ve purchased topical solutions, hair supplements, and even considered medications.

Minoxidil, finasteride, micro-needling, hair transplants, hormone replacement… all of it.

Listen, I get it… I’m speaking from experience.

Hair loss is a challenge and can be caused by many things.

Symptom-masking with medication will not work. You need to identify the root cause. Only then can you safely and effortlessly resolve it.

So what causes hair loss?

  • High levels of DHT, the “hair follicle killing hormone", cause hair loss. How much DHT your body produces is controlled by the SRD5A2 gene.

  • Estrogen dominance, caused by suboptimal variations of the CYP19A1, CYP1B1, and COMT genes, can lead to excess estrogen in your body, making your hair fall out.

  • Vitamin D deficiency can cause to hair loss. Fixing this deficiency is not as simple as taking a pill—you must understand your VDR and CYP2R1 genes to understand when, how much, and what type of vitamin D to supplement.

  • Folate deficiency can make your hair shed. Folate is crucial for healthy hair, but again, which form is right for your body is determined by genetics. Specifically, the MTHFR and SHMT1 genes.

There’s also other causes, such as poor detoxification, impaired immune function, and stress.

Now, this sounds complicated because it is. Hair loss is a complex condition caused by many different genes in your body.
