How To Stop Hair Loss

With just 5 simple strategies

Hair loss is a tough battle.

Seeing your hair in the shower drain and feeling it get thinner every day is not a good feeling.

If you struggle with hair loss, you’ve probably asked yourself…

What do I do? How do I fix it?

And in this email, I’m going to answer those questions.

You might be thinking, why should I listen to someone who doesn’t have hair?

And it’s a fair question. The 5 strategies I’m going to give you today and tomorrow are backed by research, and I’ve also seen them work countless times for people.

So my goal with this is to share what I know with you, in hopes that it’ll help. This information will point you in the right direction and at the very least, you’ll learn something new.

Today I am going to talk about the first 3 (out of 5) natural and effective remedies for hair loss.

With these, you will not need dangerous medications such as finasteride and minoxidil that kill libido, decrease motivation, and can cause depression.

1. Put Your Shampoo Where It Belongs (🗑️)

This might seem obvious. But if you are using commercial soaps to wash your hair, you’re in big trouble.

Commercial soaps are loaded with chemicals that cause hair loss, and make you dependent on them.

Ever notice how your hair becomes incredibly greasy after not using shampoo?

That’s because of the chemicals inside of them (not your body).

Many of these companies make money by building a customer base that is dependent on their products. If nobody had greasy hair, no one would need to use shampoo, right?

If you’re using shampoo with ~6 ingredients or more, swap it for a natural olive oil or tallow based soap. Less is more when it comes to shampoo.

2. Focus On Minerals

Low levels of minerals are highly correlated with hair loss.

The most important minerals to focus on for hair loss are:

  • Zinc: protects your hair follicles.

  • Copper: promotes blood flow to the scalp and helps maintain strong, flexible hair strands

  • Iron: delivers oxygen to your hair follicles.

  • Selenium: fights against free radicals and helps your body use iodine (another crucial mineral for hair growth).

  • Magnesium: helps the body cope with stress.

To get these in your diet, I’d highly recommend eating oysters and liver.

Oysters are a great source of zinc and selenium, while liver is rich in copper and iron.

The best part about these two foods is that they’re so nutrient-dense that you don’t need to eat a lot of them to get enough.

A couple ounces of liver per week, and a few oysters here and there is good enough. If you can’t get fresh oysters, canned oysters in olive oil are a great option too.

3. Sunlight

Getting sunlight on your head is very important to fight hair loss.

There are two main reasons for this, the first being vitamin D.

Low levels of vitamin D are associated with many different types of hair loss, including hair loss caused by stress, autoimmunity, hormones, and more.

Getting your vitamin D from the sun is an effective preventative measure for this.

The second (and arguably more important) reason is red light.

It has been shown time and time again in research to support cellular health on multiple levels. In one study, red light was used to completely reverse a 31 year old woman’s hair loss:

PMID: 37583500

A 2024 systematic review on several studies found a significant increase in hair density after red light therapy treatments for both male and female subjects with androgenic alopecia.

However, red light therapy can be expensive.

The good news is that nature’s red light therapy is free.

Red light is very prominent in the sun before 10am and after 4pm, depending on where you are.

So, if you’re hesitant to spend a bunch of money on red light therapy, going on a wake in the morning or evening is a great way to get red light on your head.

While these three strategies are effective, they’re just the basics.

Tomorrow, I will go over strategies that specifically fight androgenic alopecia, which is the most common form of hair loss.

This includes a daily, non-toxic hair loss protocol that I’ve designed for you. Be sure to keep an eye out in your inbox.

See you tomorrow,
