What Are Warrior Genetics?
And what they can teach you about your health
This is my WhatsApp profile picture:
It’s me in a turban smoking a shisha pipe—back when I was in my thirties and had a bigger beard.
Just kidding.
This is a painting of an Iranian ruler in the 1700s.
He’s an ancestor of mine, which means my genetics came from him.
He was a fierce warrior and his Wikipedia page is full of military conflicts he engaged in.
Why am I telling you this?
Whether you know it or not, you probably have some incredible ancestors.
Warriors, inventors, kings, explorers, rulers, visionaries, survivors…
And because they’re your ancestors, you have the same biological hardwiring that they used to do incredible things.
Let me explain this concept more simply.
In my case, I have “warrior genetics.”
I know this because I’ve studied my ancestors and gotten my genetics tested.
“Warrior genetics” is a blend of three specific gene variants:
DRD2, AA—I don’t feel much pleasure or reward.
COMT, GG—When I feel pleasure or reward, it goes away quickly
5-HTTPLR, SS—I notice every little detail which can be distracting and anxiety-inducing.
After testing the DNA of thousands, I’ve seen “warrior genetics” in other people.
They are:
Obsessive—they fixate on things that give them reward.
Distractible—they notice everything, and everything grabs their attention.
Highly anxious—they’re always “on.” They 100% have high-functioning anxiety.
This combination of genes would have been very beneficial if you were a warrior hundreds of years ago.
But today, put them in a classroom and they have ADHD.
Put them in an environment that doesn’t reward them, and they’ll be depressed.
Or, put them in an environment that does reward them…
And they will excel. Especially as CEOs and entrepreneurs.
The thing that determines whether your behavioral genetics are good or bad is your environment.
Whatever you’re struggling with right now—whether it’s whether it’s behavioral, hormonal, gut-related, metabolic issues, energy levels, mood swings, focus, anxiety, chronic pain, or even skin problems…
Could be happening because your genes are not a fit for your environment.
You’re a fish trying to climb a tree.
Your ancestors used the same exact genes you have to succeed.
You can too, you just need to understand what they are so you can create an environment where it’s impossible not to succeed.

I’m hosting a free masterclass tomorrow where I’m going to dive deep into this subject.
It might be one of the most thought-provoking discussions you’ve ever had in your life.
I’m distilling my life’s work into a live masterclass with the goal of teaching you as much as I can.
See you there,
